Interest Groups

The Interest Groups of the Section on Human-Animal Interaction: Research & Practice (Animal Assisted Activities & Interventions; Animals & Interpersonal Violence; Human-Animal Bond), in concert with HAI as a whole, seek to examine, understand, and critically evaluate the relationships between humans and animals that are relevant to the practice of psychology. Their basic function is to promote dialogue, collaboration, and advance the field of Human-Animal Interaction. These interest groups are in the beginning stages of implementation, and their form and purpose will evolve.

By forming these interest groups, which have specialized and more focused areas of research and study, we hope to create more discussion and interaction between members.
