Philip Marshall, Ph.D., is a long-time experimental psychologist with a slate of research interests dealing with learning, memory, perceptual, developmental (aging), and related aspects of human cognition. His current research interests include how people perceive and interpret various breeds of dogs, and the ways in which such perceptions and interpretations might influence human cognition, broadly defined. He has raised a litter of Golden Retrievers and another of Vizslas, and regularly trains and competes (now with a veteran Vizsla and a Havanese puppy) in various dog events including conformation, obedience, agility, and field trialing. His dogs have been CGC recipients, and regularly participate in various community settings where interaction and socialization with people of all ages is expected.
