Dear Human Animal Interaction Bulletin readers,
Welcome to Volume 2, No. 2 of HAIB. We hope you enjoy this latest edition and the variety it represents within the broad field of human-animal interactions. We are pleased to offer four articles ranging in topic from empathy as it relates to chimpanzees to three articles assessing the impact of animals with children in the realms of reading, attention and concentration, and social behaviors. Additionally, we are pleased to present a special book review this edition that discusses fictional literature as a way to inform and generate discourse in the areas of human-animal interaction.
